Week Eight

All resources here are guidance to support students with their remote learning. Teachers will be offering further guidance through Microsoft Teams where students can submit work and ask their teachers questions.


Year 7
Overview: Students will be receiving a list of opportunities to remain active from home with youtube links and idea’s for home workouts that can be completed during the day. We advise that where possible students remain active for at least 20mins per day.

Also look out for Mr Saxton’s ‘Bring Sally Up Plank Challenge’ which is on the school instagram page and sent via teams. There will be a new challenge each week.

Year 10
Overview: Students will be receiving a list of opportunities to remain active from home with youtube links and idea’s for home workouts that can be completed during the day. We advise that where possible students remain active for at least 20mins per day.

Options Courses: Year 10
OCR
Overview: Students have been given two revision books to complete in preparation for their exam. They should complete sections 1 and 2 of both books. Students will be given extra work to complete as appropriate via Microsoft teams to allow them to continue to keep up to date with their coursework.

Students will also be sent a template via teams to complete for their evaluation of their leadership sessions.

NCFE
Overview: Students have two workbooks to complete on Unit 1 (Exam revision in preparation for a resit early next year) and Unit 2 (A mock attempt at their coursework unit before the brief is released next year). Students should split their time between both booklets and ensure they complete as much as possible. Any issues or concerns should be raised via Microsoft teams so staff can respond.


Year 11
Overview: Students will be receiving a list of opportunities to remain active from home with youtube links and idea’s for home workouts that can be completed during the day. We advise that where possible students remain active for at least 20mins per day.

NCFE and OCR
Overview: Students are now completing coursework and their class teacher should have a copy of this. They will be sent work and told what to complete via Microsoft teams so that they can update work and improve the quality before being remarked by their class teacher. This process will be ongoing for as long as needed and students directed to new pieces of work once they have completed assignments to a satisfactory level.

Dance
Overview: Mrs Stubbings has video recorded the final workshops for Component 2 and will upload these via Microsoft teams for students to watch. Once viewed, students will then need to complete the final logbooks on the templates provided (again these will be uploaded via teams). Students will also be required to complete their skills audit for Component 3 which a template will be provided.

Once this is completed, students will be given work on an individual basis by their teacher to enable them to improve the quality of their assignments to a satisfactory standard. Students should be in a position that the only things left to complete on their return are the final pieces of their choreography and their evaluations for Component 2 & 3.
