Lexia^® PowerUp^® Reading

Lexia PowerUp Reading is designed to help students in Years 7 and Year 8 become proficient readers, confident learners and GCSE-ready. 

The programme primarily targets lower school students who lack the basic reading, academic vocabulary and the comprehension skills necessary to fully access and engage in the secondary curriculum. At Castle View School we use the Lexia programme for a number of year 7 and 8 students to support them with their literacy and to help them catch up.  Students have 2 literacy intervention sessions each week on this computer based programme and on their guided, individual reading with an adult.
