Mrs Clayton
Mrs Clayton graduated from the University of South Wales with a BA Hons Degree in English Literature. She went on to teach English as an additional language whilst completing a PGCE at the University of East London. She has worked at Castle View School since the summer of 2015 and gained QTS. She has mentored trainees to gain QTS and is an AQA Examiner for English Literature.

Mr AlexanderDirector of Learning: Maths
Mr Alexander
Mr Alexander gained 11 O-levels and 4 A levels whilst at school. Upon leaving school he started an undergraduate apprenticeship in mechanical engineering with British Aerospace and spent the next four years alternating between studying for an engineering degree at Aston University and completing work placements at British Aerospace. After completing his studies and gaining a Bachelor of Engineering with 1st class honours. Mr Alexander worked for a number of years completing a variety of tasks associated with the development of aerospace systems. He then changed career and took advantage of government incentives to train to be a teacher. He completed his PGCE in mathematics at Middlesex University. He then worked at a number of schools before settling at Castle View School where he has worked since 2005.

Mr BazleyDirector of Learning: Science
Mr Bazley
Mr Bazley has taught science for 15 years graduating from the University of Southampton in 2001 with a BSc in Environmental Sciences specializing in chemistry. After graduation he worked in the chemical industry at Synthomer in Harlow before going on to complete his PGCE in Science (11-18) through the Mid-Essex Consortium. More recently he has completed a Masters in Education looking at how argumentation can scaffold learning in physics

Miss TurlDirector of Learning: Humanities
Miss Turl
Miss Turl graduated from the Open University with a degree in Geography. She is the Lead Subject Mentor for Mid Essex Initial Teacher Training working with trainee teachers to enhance their Geographical understanding as they progress towards QTS. She has also been an examiner for AQA GCSE Geography.

Miss JonesDirector of Learning: Modern Foreign Languages
Miss Jones
Miss Jones gained 11 GCSEs and 3 A-levels whilst at school. Upon leaving school she completed a degree in French and Italian which involved a year spent studying abroad in different countries. After completing her degree she completed a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages at the University of East London. Since qualifying as a teacher she has worked at Castle View since the summer of 2013 and has recently become Subject Leader for Modern Foreign Languages.

Mrs HillDirector of Learning: Business Enterprise
Mrs Hill
Miss Sperring graduated with a degree in Business Studies (BA Hons). She went on to do her graduate teacher training programme and gained QTS in 2010. She has gained a qualification from a middle leaders programme and also gained status as a teacher mentor.

Mr Saxton
Mr Saxton graduated from the University of Brighton, Chelsea School with a degree in Physical Education with QTS. He currently coaches an Essex Schools Football representative side and has played numerous sports to a high level.
