If your child is having to learn from home due to Covid-19 but are still well enough to engage in their learning, please follow the guidance below:
Live Lessons
Live teaching will happen via Microsoft Teams Meetings in the instance that a whole class is in isolation.
Hybrid Teaching
If your child is isolating and the teacher is able to invite them to join a live lesson on Microsoft Teams, they will do so. This is at the discretion of the teacher and will depend on the logistics of the class and the subject being taught.
Blended Learning
Whilst teachers are in school teaching face to face lessons, your child can access the learning materials via Microsoft Teams. This will be found in the 'assignments' section of MS Teams and all materials to support their learning can be found in the 'files' section. Teachers will be in regular contact with your child and guide them as much as possible.
In order to support your child in their learning they will need:
- A laptop or a device. If you need support with this, please contact the school on Admin@castleviewschool.co.uk
- Access to Microsoft Teams. If you are experiencing technical issues, please contact ITsupport@castleviewschool.co.uk
- An understanding of how to use Teams. Please download the student/parent guide
If you would like a greater understanding of your child's curriculum by subject - please go to the Curriculum section of our website
